Is the environmental movement still relevant in Missouri? Join us as we discuss this and other key conservation challenges and trends as we move into 2012. Throughout the day, attendees will:
- Listen to keynote address from Sara Parker Pauley, Director of Missouri Department of Natural Resources
- Network with like-minded environmental supporters
- Learn more about what we can do to help change Missouri’s environment for the better.
Attendees will also hear from issue experts in break-out sessions on specific challenges facing our state. Topics include:
- Building green: good for our environment, our economy, and our children
- Nuclear and coal – are they worth the risk?
- Planting the seeds for a healthier food policy
- Protecting our water resources, from stream to watershed
- The journey towards smart energy policy
- Sustainable land stewardship, from parks to prairies
- Widening the tent: building a more inclusive environmental movement
