2012 Summit

10th Annual Environmental Summit

Is the environmental movement still relevant in Missouri? Join us as we discuss this and other key conservation challenges and trends as we move into 2012.  Throughout the day, attendees will:

  • Listen to keynote address from Sara Parker Pauley, Director of Missouri Department of Natural Resources
  • Network with like-minded environmental supporters
  • Learn more about what we can do to help change Missouri’s environment for the better.

Attendees will also hear from issue experts in break-out sessions on specific challenges facing our state.  Topics include:

  • Building green: good for our environment, our economy, and our children
  • Nuclear and coal – are they worth the risk?
  • Planting the seeds for a healthier food policy
  • Protecting our water resources, from stream to watershed
  • The journey towards smart energy policy
  • Sustainable land stewardship, from parks to prairies
  • Widening the tent: building a more inclusive environmental movement
